Raw Dog Food FAQs

Delivery

Where do you deliver? We deliver in and around West Cornwall, anywhere west of Truro. If you’re outside of our delivery area but within the UK please contact us to arrange delivery. How long will my delivery take to arrive? We have several different delivery options for west Cornwall depending on your needs. Click and collect orders may be ready to collect in as little as two hours and we offer a same day emergency delivery service for customers in need of immediate delivery. Other services take between 24 and 72 hours to arrive. Do I have to be in for delivery? Due to the nature of our products we do require our customers to be in for deliveries. If we are unable to delivery your goods there will be a re-delivery charge of £10. You will receive a text on the day of delivery to advise you on when to expect your order. If you’re worried about missing a delivery we recommend trying our click and collect service which is available 7 days a week and is open until 7pm on weekdays. How much does delivery cost? Please click here for delivery information. Do you offer free samples? We’re a small, Cornish company stocking good quality food which is often locally sourced and hand made so we’re unable to provide samples. However it’s very easy to put together a small order of food to test the products. There is also no minimum order for our free click and collect service if you’re in the area.

Raw Feeding

How much do I need to feed my dog? In adult dogs, the guide is to feed between 2 and 3% of the animal’s body weight daily (or of their ideal body weight if they need to gain/lose weight). Every dog is an individual and many need more or less than the guidelines. For more information see Natures Menu feeding calculator here. How do I feed raw food safely? When dealing with raw meat hygiene is very important; make sure to store all raw food in a sealed package in the freezer and do not refreeze. For more information on safe raw feeding click here. How do I transition my dog to the raw diet? Transitioning to raw food only takes around 7 days and is done by feeding 50% current food and 50% raw food. Avoiding mixing the two and feed in separate meals wherever possible. For more information click here. Do I need to feed my dog bones? Raw bones are a fantastic source of nutrition and help to make up a balanced diet for dogs, so we do recommend carefully chosen raw bones are a part of a dog’s diet. Cooked bones tend to be too brittle and can be a choking hazard. For information on how to feed dog bones safely click here. Can I give raw food to my puppy? It is safe to start feeding the Natures Menu Puppy Nuggets from 6 weeks of age and it is safe to move them onto the adult variety of food from 16-20 weeks of age. For more information click here.
